Sophia and James’ wedding was about family, connection, and celebrating in a way that felt true to who they are. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the love and support surrounding them. Parents wiping away tears, siblings sharing quiet laughs, grandparents beaming with pride. It was the kind of wedding where every interaction felt meaningful. I had my head (and camera) on a swivel all day because there were so many sweet moments happening between Sophia, James, and their loved ones.
Beyond the incredible people, the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. There’s something uniquely special abut fall in this little corner of Colorado- and River Bend Ranch, with its golden trees, glassy reflections on the water, and those stunning red cliffs in the background, really added to the magic.
Sophia and James met while working at Dunton Hot Springs, bonding over their love for the outdoors, horseback riding, and traveling to new places. Their venue choice reflected all of that in a relaxed, natural setting that felt like home. But what made their wedding stand out was how they made every decision based on what felt right for them, not just tradition.
Instead of a classic wedding cake, they opted for a pie bar. After their first dances, they scrapped the usual slow-dance transitions and jumped straight into a full-on bridal party boogie, kicking off the night with energy and laughter. It was one of those weddings where every part of the day felt intentional and personal, designed to reflect the kind of joy and adventure that defines their relationship.

Capturing a day like this is exactly why I do what I do. Celebrations like Sophia and James’ remind me that at the heart of every wedding is the love between two people and the community of support who lift them up.
