Who says you can’t throw a wedding celebration after you’re already legally married? Nicole + Josh gathered for a big party with their closest friends and family on July 15th, 2023. The modern garden themed vow renewal was at Four Seasons Greenhouse & Nursery in Dolores, Colorado. Loved ones from all over the country met in this small mountain town to celebrate two people who joined together in marriage earlier this year. Here is a little bit of their story, written by the bride:
“Let’s see, my husband, Josh, and I met in the mountains near Rico! I was living there working on a ranch and he moved in with his camper and his cute little pup Copper! I was totally fascinated by the cute guy in the camper! It took about a month until we were finally introduced by a neighbor. We actually hung out every night after that… we went hiking. We explored Telluride. We did it all! After that summer, we continued to date and fell completely in love, and he proposed on our way to California (where I am from)! We eloped in January on the beach where I grew up surfing… surrounded by our family! It was beautiful!”
On the first phone call with Nicole + Josh, it was obvious to me that this was going to be a day full of joy, moments with family, and a whole lot of laughter. They had planned their vow renewal as a way to connect both sides of their family and get everyone together in one place. When I asked what their main goal for their photos was, they replied: “To capture the joy & celebration of us and our families!”
July 15th ended up being the ideal summer day, with bright sunshine turning into a calm purple sunset and a warm, glittering evening. The ceremony and reception area was set up outside, so everyone got to enjoy the peaceful night as they danced under the stars and watched the ponds glow with floating lanterns and perfect reflections.
The design of the space was simple, elegant, and tasteful with endless white roses, baby’s breath, greenery, candles, twinkly lights, and dainty blue patterned accents.
